Meet Monika

About me
Hello and welcome! My name is Monika, and I’m a certified yoga instructor specializing in beginner-friendly vinyasa yoga and meditation. I’m passionate about helping others connect with their bodies, minds, and hearts through gentle movement and mindfulness practices.

What I offer
I offer personalized yoga experiences that cater to all levels, focusing on making yoga accessible and enjoyable for everyone. In the summer, I host outdoor group classes, where we can flow together while connecting to the beauty of nature. During the winter months, I offer private yoga sessions, providing you with a more tailored practice that meets your unique needs.
One of my greatest passions is leading a monthly Women’s Circle, where we focus on mindfulness, energy balancing, and creating a supportive community of women. This circle has become a space for deep connection and personal growth, and I’m honored to guide others on this path.

My background
I’m originally from Croatia. I studied Business Administration in Germany. My career journey then took me from Germany to Spain and Australia, where I had the opportunity to live and work. Traveling has always been a deep passion of mine, and it’s been an essential part of my personal growth. After many years of exploring the world, I settled in Calgary with my husband, where I found my true calling in yoga.

How I fell in love with yoga
In 2014, while on a two-year backpacking trip, I had the incredible opportunity to stay at the Chenrezig Institute, a Buddhist temple located on the Sunshine Coast of Australia. I spent five weeks there learning to meditate, and it was during this time that I discovered yoga. The practice opened up a world of peace, love, and connection that transformed my life in so many ways. I knew right away that I wanted to share these gifts with others and help them experience the same sense of balance and joy that I had found through yoga.
After returning from my travels, I became a certified yoga instructor in 2017. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to teaching gentle yoga styles that have supported me in my own life. Meditation and Pranayama (breathwork) are integral parts of my practice, and I believe they offer incredible benefits for both physical and mental well-being.

Why I love yoga
Yoga is much more than just a physical practice—it’s a way of life. It’s a lifestyle that brings balance, peace, and happiness into your everyday experience. Through yoga, I’ve found a sense of inner calm, connection, and joy that I strive to share with others. It’s my mission to help you experience the transformative power of yoga, and I can’t wait to guide you on your journey.
Thank you for visiting my site, and I look forward to sharing this beautiful practice with you!

With love,
Monika
